Languages

All students from Kinder to Year 6 have the opportunity to learn a language.

Music

Music is highly valued at St Francis Xavier School, with students having the opportunity to be involved in numerous music experiences. As well as the classroom music Curriculum from Kinder to Year 6, there are opportunities for students to sing in a choir and undertake weekly private instrumental lessons.

Year 3 Band Program

All Year 3 students are given the opportunity to attend subsidised music lessons and learn a woodwind, brass or string instrument. 

Choir

The choir is open to all students from Year 3 to Year 6. The choir performs at special occasions such as the school fete, retirement village, community events and assemblies. 

Dance

All students participate in Dance lessons in Term 3, run by a professional dance instructor. 

The lunchtime Dance Club is available to all students from Years 3 to 6. Participating students commit to regular attendance to create routines and learn choreography to perform at various school events such as the end-of-year concert and fete.

Lunch Clubs

A number of other lunchtime clubs are available to students throughout each term, for example:

  • Mini Vinnies
  • Robotics 
  • Lego
  • Chess
  • Gardening 
  • Chill out.
